Shoutout: Brush Calligraphy Workshop With NuffyPuffy

For those who know me, they know that I am not a very artistic person. When I was young, I always failed my arts and crafts. But as I got older, I begin exploring the artistic side in me. I have started painting last year. And been bullet journaling and doodling now and then. I find them therapeutic and enjoyable. Plus, I get to spend these moments with my good friends who share similar interests as me.

Recently, I had the opportunity to attend a Brush Calligraphy Workshop by NuffyPuffy. Let me tell you that my brush calligraphy skills are basically non-existent. So coming into this workshop, I have zero expectations for myself and wanted to have fun just learning something new.

And my verdict: SUPER FUN!

Our trainer, Nafisah (and also founder of NuffyPuffy!) was a very cool, calm and relaxed teacher! Her style of teaching made it easy for me to understand the basics of brush calligraphy, like how to do the strokes for each alphabet and creating simple flowers. While we are practicing our strokes, she will come up to us individually and correct any mistakes that we made gently. So nice!

She provided us with ample brush calligraphy practice sheets to work on and also a cute brush!

Do I recommend this workshop to anyone?

Yes very much so! This workshop is for everyone, young and old! During the workshop, the youngest was about 8 years old and the oldest was about 40! So you can attend the workshop with your child as an activity date or a bonding session with your friends (which I did).
