Here are the 3 things I love in January (Taiwan Special)

Halal Beef Noodles

I tried out 3 different Beef Noodle shops in Taipei, Taiwan! There are 2 shops like literally next to each other called Chang’s Beef Noodles and Lao Chang Beef Noodles and there is another Michelin one located near Taipei 101 called Halal Beef Noodles. I know the names seems like a little weird. But that’s what I got from google translate anyway. All are delicious and unique in their own way. They have different types of side dishes to accompany the beef noodles as well. I do recommend you try them all. Because you will regret it so much if you don’t.

Sweetme Hotspring Resort

Okay, this is for my Muslimah Girlies! Public Hot Spring are fine. Most of them are pretty cool about what we wear and usually they will have separate area for the males and females. But if you want something totally private, Sweetme Hot Spring is the place. It is located in Beitou and the water they use comes from Beitou Hotspring. I love it and it is one of the best place to chill and relax your body by yourself or with family.

Shifen

I had a ball of fun at Shifen. It is a very long journey from Taipei to Shifen. From the modern train to railway train to old school train, it was a scenic ride for most part. Once you reach Shifen, the floating lanterns will welcome you and delight you with their presence. We did get a lantern which is where you write your wishes. But we just draw our cats, watermelon and wrote “Fahmi & Indah Taiwan Trip 2025” as a way to commerate our trip! It was fun letting our lantern float away into the sky. A nice experience!
