I was introduced to Insyirah by her good friend, Izni (featured in our February 2025 Local Business Shoutout) and I instantly fall in love with her creations. Beautiful bouquets upon beautiful bouquets filling up Encha.ntedblooms's instagram pages. From fresh flowers to ribbon flowers. I even saw one bouquet filled up with chocolates! My favourite! I have not met Insyirah yet but I feel she knows what I like!
So, let's you and I get to know Insyirah and her business, Encha.ntedblooms in our May's Local Business Shoutout!

Hi Insyirah, share about yourself and your business, Encha.ntedblooms.
I'm turning 22 this year! I actually started out baking instead of floristry. Planning to open my own physical store one day. Either a floristry shop or a bakery.
Encha.ntedblooms just started last August. The idea came onto my mind when I was planning a present for a friend and then it struck me to try ribbon-made flowers. It is actually a side job for me that I hope will bloom in the future. It started out good as Teacher's Day was also around the corner at that point of time. Since there were certain requests, I made it into a small business for myself as I was unemployed at that time. I offer any form of bouquets, be it fresh flowers, ribbon flowers or even snack bouquets. Customisation are available as well! If there are certain budgets, I am open for discussion as I understand that the costs of items recently can be quite pricey.
Can you describe the moment you decided to become the business owner?
The moment I decided was pretty scary as I was starting up with barely anything, just hoping that it will flourish. It was difficult to find the motivation to keep going despite certain roller coasters in this business.

What do you tell yourself in order to be motivated in doing business?
I turned my recent pain into a positive influence for me to continue on my journey. I would say my family and friends are also a big part as to why I am still standing and trying. My fiance has been the biggest supporter from day 1. He clapped the loudest for all my achievements and lifted me up when I feel like giving up. Not to say my customers do not give me the motivation, they do! Especially the loyal ones who purchased from me repeatedly!
What is the routine you set for yourself everyday?
I would say that there are no routines. But I will scroll through Instagram and Tiktok mostly, that's where I know certain days or occasions are coming. Some dates that most would not have known existed.
What are some of the obstacles you faced while you building your business?
The quiet weeks and months where there are no orders. They often haunt me and bring me down but that is also where I try to think of things that I can offer to my future customers.

What are the most rewarding aspects of being a business owner?
It is knowing that my customers are happy with the products. Especially those few people who come back ordering for more.
Who are your role models?
My role model would be my mother. Growing up with her has shown me that women can be independent on their own. She is the most strongest person i have met who never gives up and only stands stronger every-time there is a downfall.
What tools, systems or resources would you recommend to business owners?
Personally, i do not have any tools , systems , books or resources. I just picked up here and there from studying in SHATEC and attending a programme for floristry back in secondary school. I think these are the things that people may think is pointless to learn. I felt that way too because the passion I had was not too strong at that point of time and never did I think I would want to open a small business.

How do you find inspiration and creativity for your business ideas?
As I love flowers, receiving them makes me the happiest. But knowing that they wilt eventually, saddens me. Hence, I started with ribbon made flowers known as infinity roses. I have tried different flowers too but roses are most popular!
What advice will you give to aspiring business owners?
Turn your pain into something beautiful. Find the peace in what you do and inshaAllah it will work its way out.
What is the future going to be like for you?
I have been planning to have pop up booths for my business It is still in the process of getting it done. Hopefully in the next few months.
