ree

Managing multiple social media is not easy for most business owners. Instagram, Facebook and TikTok can be very confusing with their own algorithms. So it was amazing to see businesses set up to help other businesses manage their social media. Big Dreams Creative Studio is one of them and I have been eyeing them since they were previously 15 Big Dreams. One day, I know I will have courage to participate in one of their courses because I know I need them.

So for July's Local Business Shoutout is Feetri from Big Dreams Creative Studio. Let's meet the person who is helping many businesses with their social media presence.

Hi Feetri! Thank you for this interview. Do share a little about yourself and Big Dreams Creative Studio.

I'm a founder of a social media agency. I'm also a mother to a 5 yo son and 3 yo daughter. But take all that away, and I’m really just someone who loves learning and always finding ways to grow.

Big Dreams Creative Studio was formerly known as 15 Big Dreams. We started in 2020 and now we're a team of 4 in 2025.

We make our client's dream come true by creating real and consistent content on 4 social media platforms; Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn.

Our core service is Social Media Management but we also provide services in Video Production, Paid Advertisement, Corporate Training/ Workshops and Content Creation Consultation.

Can you describe the moment you decided to become a business owner?

It was more of an accidental journey for me. I only intended to share how businesses can market their brand on Instagram better. Back then, people were using Instagram like an ecommerce website where they would only publish promotional content.

There was lack of education on how does the product/ service offered can help customers/ clients. I came as someone of thought leadership to share different ways to market on Instagram.

My content was well received which inspired me to host online workshops around the topic of Instagram content creation. Which then turn into a service because content creation isn't everyone's forte and I'm grateful to be given the space and opportunity to help.

What do you tell yourself to stay motivated in doing business?

Motivation comes and goes. I stopped relying on motivation in my 2nd year of business. I've learned to I build habits, routines and set business systems in place to help me remain discipline.

I would also look back at my small and big achievements to remind myself of how far I've come and how much I can do to help my clients and the community.

What is the routine you set for yourself everyday?

Family first. Me second. Business then.

I ensure that my children are well taken care of. Here I learn that we need to tie our camel first. Then I prepare myself for the tasks I need to complete for the day. This mean getting myself ready, ensuring I look good even at home. Then only, I'm able to work on my business, talk to my clients from a place of calm and ready.

What are some of the obstacles you faced while building your business?

Mindset. It’s been the biggest challenge behind all the others. Over the years of building my business, I’ve faced all kinds of problems, but time and time again, it’s my own mindset that built the invisible walls. And I’ve had to face them, one by one.

What are the most rewarding aspects of being a business owner?

Freedom of time and mental space to work on the things I love, including caring for my 2 children from birth.

Who are your role models?

I do not have a specific person that I look up to but I do take inspiration from the people around me. There is always something to learn from one anothe

What tools, systems, books or resources would you recommend to all business owners?

First, finance. Zoho has been a huge help. Second, Gdrive + storage space(!!). Third, Canva for all things design.

How do you find creativity and inspiration for your business ideas?

Be in a community. I'm currently in The Freelancers Academy since the beginning of my business and the people in the community has been a great help. Shoutout to Renee from PeachyPixx (read Renne's interview here) and AJ from Avocado Jam Studio and of course, the people in TFA.

Hire a mentor. We work better when there are people of knowledge and expert who can guide us. I've worked with a couple of mentors who has shaped me and my business you see today.

Network and learn. I get better ideas when we get out of our comfort zone and simply talk to the people who share likeminded passions.

What advice will you give to aspiring business owners?

You are enough. You have enough resources and tools to push through and face any future obstacles.

What is the future going to be like for you?

More classes. I aspire to become a speaker one day.
