1QAD: What is the one thing you wish people understood about you?

When I was younger, probably around 11 - early 30s, I have this need where people need to understand me. They need to understand who I am, what I stand for, my perspectives, my opinions, what I like or what I hate. I must inform them because I am the one that knows! When in actuality, I know nothing at all. It is true what they say empty vessels make the most noise!

Now, I don’t have this need for people to understand me. It is fine if our views and opinions clash. I don’t owe anyone an explanation and they don’t owe me one either. Frankly, I think I probably overexplained during my younger days that I used them all up. 

So what do I wish people understood about me? It is NOTHING. 

The people who love me will understand me, most of the time already. And the rest of the people… they have far more important issues and people in their lives to bother with little old me.
