1QAD: How has your idea of happiness changed over the years?

When I look back at the younger version of myself, I see someone who believed happiness was something you chased. It is only achieved it when I work hard enough. I thought happiness lived in milestones. Graduating, landing a dream job or getting married.

As I grew older, I realized something I never understood back then. Happiness is whatever you make it to be.

Happiness is giving yourself a small treat after a long hard day. Happiness is talking with the people you love. Happiness is waking up in safe place. Happiness is cooking food for your family and having a meal with them. Happiness is building yourself through your career or business. Happiness is creating something for yourself.

I am happy in smaller ways. I don’t need a big event to happen to celebrate. Now even a little thing goes my way, I am happy and grateful. That’s the way I want to continue living my life.
