1QAD: What is the one habit you wish to build this year?

Some habits seem so simple that they are almost embarrassing to admit. Like making sure we take a shower or remember to take our meds. For me, it is drinking water. It is one of the most basic ways to care for ourselves. Yet many of us go through entire days realizing we’ve only taken a handful of sips.
We know that we need to at least drink 8 glasses of plain water daily. It helps regulate body temperature. Living in a hot and humid country, I need to make sure my body is doing just that.
People love to say, “Just drink more water!” as if it’s the easiest thing in the world. But the challenge is remembering to do it. Sometime we get to engrossed in what we are doing that we forget the world.
So this year, I made a humble promise to myself:
I want to drink enough water.
I intend to make drinking water my first task the moment I wake up. Every half hourly, take little sips. I already have a water bottle placed near me so that I have easy access to water. I can’t use laziness as an excuse anymore.
This is a really simple habit that I feel can improve my health in drastic ways. Being healthy is my top priority this year. And the way to start is by drinking water.
